Bio
I’m Tina Chen, a piano instructor with over five years of teaching experience. Music has been the heartbeat of my life, and from a young age, I knew I wanted to share this passion with others. Teaching isn’t just about passing on skills—it’s about making every lesson meaningful, inspiring confidence, and helping students discover the joy of making music.
I specialize in piano instruction, blending music theory and vocal techniques to shape well-rounded musicians. Currently studying Music Education at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, I focus on building strong technique, expressive playing, and a deep personal connection to music. Whether you’re starting from scratch, refining your skills, or preparing for recitals and exams, I tailor each lesson to fit your unique goals.
But music is more than just notes on a page—it’s about storytelling, emotion, and self-expression. That’s why I emphasize ear training, theory, performance skills, and musicality, so my students don’t just play—they feelthe music. My goal is to create a space where learning is exciting, challenges are rewarding, and every student grows into a musician who truly loves what they do.
If you’re looking for a teacher who is passionate, experienced, and committed to making your musical journey inspiring and fun, I’d love to be part of it. Let’s make music together!
